Product Overview
Water-based polyurethane waterproof coating is a sealing material made of high polymer elastic materials. It has excellent adhesion and waterproof properties, with strong bonding capabilities to mortar, cement-based surfaces, stone, and metal products. The product has stable chemical properties, can withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight, has high strength, great elongation, good elasticity, and excellent performance.
Key Selling Points
• Long-lasting waterproofing with minimal maintenance.
• Enhanced protection against mold, mildew, and water-induced damage.
• Environmentally friendly, reducing harmful emissions in both production and application.Application Scope
This product is suitable for key national projects as well as general construction, such as:
• Roofs
• Color steel tiles
• Basements
• Civil defense projects
• Kitchens and bathrooms
• Culverts
• Tunnels
• Bridges
• Water tanks, etc.
It can also be used for bonding materials such as:
• Metal pipes
• Workshop floors
• Water tanks
• Corrosion-resistant materials
• Wood flooring
• Cement boards
• Asbestos products
• Fiberglass products
• Ceramic products
• Floor tiles, etc.
Additionally, it can be used as a sealing material for construction joints.Product Features
• Superior Water Resistance: Forms a seamless, impermeable layer that prevents water from seeping through, ensuring long-term protection in damp or high-moisture environments.
• Eco-Friendly Formulation: Water-based formula with low VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), making it safe for indoor and outdoor use without compromising on performance.
• Durability: Exceptional resistance to wear, abrasion, and UV degradation. Ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, even in harsh weather conditions.
• Non-toxic & Low Odor: No harmful fumes during application, making it suitable for sensitive environments like homes, schools, and healthcare facilities.
• Flexible & Crack Resistant: Retains flexibility after curing to accommodate movement or expansion of the substrate, preventing cracks and deterioration.
• Easy Application: Can be applied with a brush, roller, or spray, offering convenient application on large and small surfaces.
• Quick Drying Time: Cures quickly, allowing for faster project completion without compromising finish quality.
• Versatile Use: Suitable for a wide range of substrates, including wood floors, decks, concrete, metal, and masonry surfaces.Storage & Transportation
1.During transportation, avoid rain exposure, direct sunlight, pressure, and collisions. Keep the packaging intact.
2.Store in a well-ventilated, dry, and cool place with a storage temperature between 5°C and 35°C.
3.Unopened products have a shelf life of 12 monthsConstruction Requirements:
1.Clean, Dry, and Free of Contaminants:
• Surface Cleanliness: The surface must be free of dust, dirt, grease, oils, waxes, and other contaminants that could prevent the coating from adhering properly. Use a suitable cleaner or degreaser to remove any impurities.
• Moisture Content: The substrate should be completely dry before applying the coating. For wood or concrete surfaces, the moisture content should be below 12%. Excess moisture can affect adhesion and curing.
• No Standing Water: Ensure that there is no standing water on the surface before applying the coating.
2.Surface Preparation:
• Wood: Sand the wood surface to remove any old finish, stains, or rough spots. The surface should be smooth and even to allow the coating to adhere properly.
• Concrete: Concrete surfaces should be clean, free of laitance, and free of any old coatings. If applying over a previously coated surface, ensure it is fully intact and not flaking or peeling. It’s often recommended to etch the surface lightly with an acid solution or use a concrete surface preparation product for better bonding.
• Metal: Clean the metal surface thoroughly, removing rust, oil, and other contaminants. A wire brush, sandpaper, or power sander can be used for rust removal. For galvanized metals, a light abrasive sanding or etching is recommended to ensure proper adhesion.
• Masonry: For brick or stone, ensure the surface is dry, clean, and free of efflorescence (white salt deposits), which can hinder adhesion. A surface primer may be needed for optimal bonding.
3.Smoothness & Texture:
• For maximum adhesion, the surface should be smooth or lightly sanded. Rough surfaces may require extra coats of the coating to ensure proper coverage.
• In cases where extra adhesion is needed, consider using a primer designed for the specific substrate.
4.pH Levels (for Concrete and Masonry):
• The pH level of concrete and masonry should fall within the range of 7 to 10. High pH (alkaline) surfaces, especially those freshly poured, may require a primer to ensure the coating adheres properly.Application Process
1.Surface Preparation: Clean and dry the surface to be coated. Remove any dirt, oils, and old coatings.
2.Application: Stir the coating thoroughly before use. Apply one or two coats using a brush, roller, or spray, allowing each coat to dry completely before applying the next (typically 1-2 hours).
3.Curing Time: Allow 24–48 hours for full curing before exposing the surface to heavy use or moisture.
4.Clean-Up: Clean tools and equipment with water before the coating dries.
