  • 产品描述
  • Product Overview:

Butyl waterproof tape is made primarily from butyl rubber, combined with other additives through advanced processing. It forms a self-adhesive waterproof sealant that remains permanently flexible and will not harden over time. It can bond to a wide range of surfaces, offering excellent weather resistance, aging resistance, and waterproofing. The product contains no solvents, so it does not shrink or release harmful gases. Because it does not cure, it adapts well to thermal expansion and contraction and mechanical deformations, making it an advanced waterproof sealing material.

    Key Selling Points

    • High Polymer Synthetic Butyl Rubber.
    • Waterproof and Leak-proof.
    • Wear-resistant and Foot Traffic Resistant, Anti-aging.
    • Flame Retardant and Fire Resistant.
    • Corrosion-resistant.
    • Low-Temperature Resistant, Anti-freezing.
    • High Elongation.
    • Pure Aluminum Surface for Better Sun Protection.

    Application Scope

1.Waterproofing for new building roofs, underground structures, and construction joints.
2.Sealing and waterproofing for municipal engineering, such as subway tunnels.
3.Air-tight, waterproof, and shock-absorbing applications for color-coated sheets and polycarbonate sheets.
    4.Sealing in automotive assembly.
5.Sealing for steel structures during construction.
6.Butyl tape with aluminum foil is suitable for waterproofing and sealing various civil roofs, color steel, steel structures, waterproof membranes, PC boards, and other surfaces exposed to sunlight.

    Product Features

1.Mechanical Performance: High bonding strength and tensile strength, good elasticity, and extension performance.
2.Chemical Stability: Excellent resistance to chemicals, weather, and corrosion.
3.Reliable Application: Good adhesion, waterproofing, sealing, low-temperature resistance, and followability. Stable dimensions.
4.Easy to Apply: Simple construction process.

    Storage & Transportation

Butyl tape should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment, avoiding direct sunlight and high-temperature conditions. The temperature should be maintained between -10°C and 35°C. Excessive heat may cause a decline in the tape's performance or changes in its adhesive properties, while extremely low temperatures may affect its flexibility. The relative humidity should be kept within a reasonable range to prevent moisture from causing poor adhesion or surface contamination. During storage, it should be kept away from chemicals, solvents, and oils to avoid damaging the tape's surface or altering its adhesive properties. Additionally, it should be protected from heavy pressure or folding to prevent deformation or damage. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended not to leave too much time between purchase and use, and to check that the packaging remains intact.

    Construction Requirements

1.The tape should be applied within a temperature range of -15°C to 45°C (special measures should be taken for temperatures outside this range).
2.The surface must be cleaned or wiped to ensure dryness and free of floating dust or oil stains.
3.Do not peel off the bond within 24 hours of application.
4.Choose the appropriate tape model and size based on the actual project needs.
5.Do not stack more than five boxes of tape at a height of around 10cm.
6.It is recommended to apply the waterproof tape on the water-facing side. Avoid using on surfaces with loose sand.
7.Ensure the tape is fully pressed and bonded to the surface with no gaps.
8.It is not advisable to apply it on surfaces that will be submerged in water for long periods.
9.Do not use with waterproof materials containing benzene, toluene, methanol, ethylene, silicone, or other organic compounds.

    Application Process

    Construction Tools:

Cleaning tools, scissors, roller, wallpaper cutter, etc.

    Construction Process:

    1.Steel Structure Roof Construction:
    • Clean the seams and select the appropriate tape size.
    • Apply the tape to the seams and press it down.
    • Peel off the protective paper, compress the top layer, and ensure a tight seal.
    • Tighten the screws to ensure the tape adheres securely.
    2.Leak Repair for Steel Roofs:
    • Remove old sealants from the metal seams.
    • Clean the surface and select the right tape size.
    • Apply the tape to the seam and compress it to ensure a strong bond.
    3.Polycarbonate Panel Installation:
    • Clean the installation surface.
    • Apply tape to the bonding area, press it firmly, and remove the protective paper.
    • Install the metal plates and secure with waterproof screws.
    4.Waterproof Membrane Construction:
    • Follow the guidelines for the correct tape width depending on whether you’re applying it to full sheets or lap seams.
